俚语：Hurting　　急需 　　
定义：to be in dire need (of money) 迫切需要(金钱)
例句：The drama club is really hurting for financial support.
戏剧俱乐部迫切需要财政支持。

俚语：Hock 典当
定义： to pawn something  当东西
例句： Edwards had hocked almost all of his belongs before he finally found a steady job.
爱德华在找到一份稳定的工作前，几乎把他所有的东西都当掉了。

俚语： Old goat 老古板(通常指年长者)
定义： an elderly person(usually a man)disliked for being unsympathetic，over bearing and mean to younger people
对年轻人冷酷，专横，苛刻而不受欢迎的年长者
例句： Tom Sasser was suspended from school after he called the principal an old goat。
汤姆-赛瑟因称呼校长为冷酷无情的人而被停职。

Up in arms 生气；激烈地抗议
